Default The Benafit of lower requirement weapons

Alot of people Prize a max weapon with only a lvl 8 requirement in its atrabute IE "marksmanship"

i was wondering why?

Extra points in these atrabutes often add damage and at least with the chase of bows reduce effective armor on your target so generally dont you want at least 12 or 13 points to your primary damage dealing stat?

I did hear that a lower requirement some how increases the damage dealt by that weapon, is this the chase?

People pay more for lower requirements due to rarity. You will want your related attribute to be maxed out.

Lower requirements do not mean more damage.

my beauties :

lower req with max mods makes the weapon more rare... also allows more flexibility when making builds

ah thanks, ill never understand the reasioning behind paying more for nothing. I imagin lower requirements are better if your lvling up a low character, so thats something.

the point of low mods is that if you are not using the weapon as your main goal (the two examples that come to mind are crip shot rangers in gvg that would love to drop marks down to 8, and oath shot/trappers that could use a little extra in beast or expertise.)

That's also a good point. A lower requirement DOES mean that you'll be able to get more than "starter weapon" damage from a weapon earlier with a lower level char. However, to realize the weapon's damage potential, you'll want the attribute maxed, no matter what the requirement is.

it also means you can give it to a low level character build and they can fully use it full potential a lot sooner then one with max req stats... so a req 8 marksmenship on that vampiric long bow would fetch a pretty penny from a rich rebuilt character in ascalon for instance... Or allow you to spend attrib points elsewhere and still maintain max dmg from your weapon...

^ technically, not really. You're not getting "max damage" from your weapon just by meeting the requirement.

i'm pretty sure he meant "max dmg" as in 15-28

and maxed out Marksmanship isn't always needed... there are certain builds that use a bow but focus on something other then damage

There is no benifit to a level 20 unless you would like to lower your weapon attribute because you are not dealing damage using it.

yea I was meaning the the req is met with less(so the weapon give its full potential at the lesser Req)... thus you can alloacte more attribs elsewhere...
